ラマダン（断食）中のこんな食べ物

つい先日から始まった、イスラム教徒の断食「ラマダン」。

約１ヵ月続きます。

Ramadan(Fasting month) was started.

It is Muslim culture.

It lasts for about 1 month.

断食って言葉、なにも食べないとの誤解をよくされますが、

もちろん１ヵ月間なにも食べないわけではなく、

日が昇る前と日が沈んだ後は食べていいのです。

（でなかったら餓死者が続出すると思う(..)）

Some Japanese people misunderstand that they eat nothing for 1 month,

but it's impossible as human!

Before sunrise and after sunset, it is ok to eat.

イスラム教が大多数を占めるバングラ。

わたしのいる少数民族の地域はもともと仏教が主ですが、

入植政策の結果、

ムスリムのベンガル人との比率は現在半々に近い。

I'm now staying in indigenous people's village, they are Buddhism.

But in town, I can see Muslim people also.

街中にも、こんなものが！

これは「イフタール」と呼ばれる食べ物。

この期間しかお目にかかれないらしい。

お腹すかせて日中ガマンし、

日が沈んだらこれを食べる！

Today, I found this one!

It is called "Iftar".

We can eat it only in Ramadan month.

After sunset, they'll eat this food!

「やたら甘い」「やたら脂っぽい」「やたら辛い」

それぞれのアイテムを混ぜて食べます。

見た目は怪しいけど、だいじょうぶ。

「５０円分ちょうだい」みたいに注文できます。

Some items are hot,

some items are oily,

some items are soooo sweet....

After mixing all of them, you can eat!

一口目は「・・・おえ('_')」ってなったけど、

少しやみつきになるこれ。

１ヵ月限定とか言われると、

じゃあ今しかない！って思っちゃう消費者心理をうまくつかんでます。

さて明日も３０円分くらい買いに行こう！

For the first time, the taste was strange for me,

but now I got to like it!

I'll plan to buy it tomorrow also;)
