朝市でおばあちゃんたちと。

５時起きして朝市（バジャール）へ！

I got up 5 am and went to market (bajar)in the morning!

「これなに？」「これ？知らんの？あんた！笑」

から始まるわたしとおばあちゃんたちの会話は飽きることなく続きます。

"What this?" "This one? Don't you know?"

Our conversation always start from like this. 

いろんなところで立ち止まって座っておしゃべり。

たまになぜか店番まで頼まれる。

I stopped many places and talked a lot on that day with many women.

子どもが何人いて孫が何人いて、

どこに住んでて何人家族で、

畑でなにを育ててて、

政府の政策で強制移住させられたからいまの村に移り住んできたこと、

軍の駐屯地がすぐ近くにあること、

息子は職がなくて出稼ぎに行ってること、

出稼ぎはここ最近すごく増えてるってこと、

都市への出稼ぎに行った若者は村にはあまり帰省しないこと、

朝市ではいくらぐらい稼げるのかってこと・・・

They told me...

how many children & grandchildren they have,

where they live,

what are there in their vegetable fields, 

they moved to present village because of government order,

there are army bases close to their houses,

one of their sons is working in main town,

recently a lot of people go to work outside(including foreign countries),

young people who have gone to town rarely come back to village,

how much they can earn in morning market,,,

おばあちゃんたちの当たり前の日常から、

このエリアがかかえる問題から、

近代化と貨幣経済にのみ込まれる過程で起こっていることから、

いろんなことで頭がいっぱいになって、

持ってきた袋も野菜でいっぱいになった帰り道でした。

I got to know their daily lives,

the history in this area,

what is happening as modernization and monetary economy are increasing etc...

My head was full of information and my bag was full of vegetables on the way back to home.
